Harmonies on Stage is the Festival's theatre programme, celebrating performance and the narrative power of the stage as a privileged space where memory and the contemporary world meet. Here, the languages of live performance transform cultural heritage into a shared experience, inviting audiences to engage with the present through emotion, storytelling and artistic vision.
Within this perspective, the Mediterranean becomes a symbolic stage for universal stories—a crossroads of myths, identities and enduring tensions—where the great narratives of the past continue to speak to contemporary audiences with renewed relevance and emotional resonance.
This artistic journey finds expression in MITIKA – Teatro e Mito nella contemporaneità, presented by Associazione Culturale Aletheia Teatro under the artistic direction of Carla Guido. Now in its sixth edition, the festival returns to Lecce in a new springtime format, presenting three performances at Teatro Paisiello that revisit the timeless figures of classical mythology as powerful instruments for reflecting on identity, human relationships, and individual and collective responsibility.
DEDALO E ICARO, OLTRE IL VOLO, AGAMENNONE and CIRCE: LE ORIGINI bring three compelling theatrical visions to the stage, restoring the enduring evocative power of myth and reaffirming its relevance as a lens through which to interpret the complexities of our own time.
